I was going to compare them to Grove sponges until they came and saw the texture of the cleaning side. The pulp side has the same thickness and texture as the Grove. The coconut side is thinner, which sounds bad, but it's not. Grove uses the smoother, more flexible texture of coir, which works for me. I once had a sponge with the same texture as Grinzla, but it was twice as wide. Though thick and rough, it didn't clean any better than Grove's. Also, it was so rigid and inflexible that you couldn't maneuver around corners and sides. Grinzel is thinner and easier to manipulate. I like them as much as Grove's; They're not wrapped in plastic and are $0.50 less each.
