You can do a lot with this. I've had the short one for years but finally wanted to try something different in my settings and needed a bigger one. It was better built and more useful than my old shorts. I can use it on my standard tripods or large poles without an adapter. I mainly shoot videos of the HS Orchestra. So I set up a couple of static cameras aimed at different parts of the field. Works perfectly. Normally only small Sony cameras are used on it, but when I use heavier items as they are longer I need to get a good balance on a regular tripod. But it fits well in my pocket and I use it more and more. now as the shorter one. Overall just more options. I'll take it back if needed. But the only reason I have to do that is if I lose it. Don't see how it can ever go bad. Even the little one I've had for over 10 years with no problems. Just wanted to see if the larger project has more things to try. And so it was. :)
