Your heirs will be fighting over who gets that shaving bowl!

The shaving bowl has three functions. 1.) Create a rich, thick, creamy lather. 2.) Hold it securely in your hand. . Constructed of durable stainless steel, it meets and exceeds all three criteria. By way of background, let me mention that I've used a lot of cheap and inexpensive ceramic shaving bowls that I bought at thrift stores and flea markets. I've been advocating buying these cheaper bowls for quite some time. However, after bringing home a few of my 99-cent pottery prizes, chips or cracks are often found. This means it must be discarded or you risk unwanted bacterial growth in those cracks/chips. At some point I realized I needed to invest in a quality shaving bowl. A shaving bowl that would fit perfectly in my shaving cupboard would give me a lifetime of great lather and is made of a durable and strong material that won't rip or tear. I found this bowl along with the chairman. The chair is made from stainless steel and is shot peened to give it a rustic and durable look. However, this shot blasting (or grit blasting if you prefer) gives the surface a very tactile feel. When you first pick up the bowl, you will definitely notice this "sticky" quality. The bowl feels incredibly secure in your hand, even though the soap or cream is slippery. I also think (just a guess on my part) that blasting the inside of the bowl creates a very microscopic "rough" surface that aids and enhances foaming. At least that's my theory. Because the bowl has such a slight roughness, the foam just forms in clumps due to microscopic surface drag. I cannot say that this is a fact. This is just my theory based on my personal use and observations. At first glance, one might think that the bowl is a bit small. However, after a few uses, you'll find that it's the perfect size. It's not too big, but not too small either. That's right. After experimenting and using many used ceramic bowls of all sizes, I've found that I prefer the smaller ones that feel naturally in the hand. The chair fits perfectly in your hand. When using ceramic bowls, there is always a risk that they will slip out of your hands and break on the floor (also because they are too big to touch). And that's the last thing you want when you're just standing by the sink with your towel or bathrobe, getting ready to shave (especially if you forgot to put on your slippers). Stainless steel will not break or shatter if it slips from your hand. But then again, this bowl doesn't slip. The Vikings Blade Luxury Chair shaving bowl is VERY well made! It's the perfect size, is a good weight and weight, fits perfectly and securely in the hand, and just knocks it out of the foam park! And because it's made of stainless steel, it will last a lifetime! Needless to say, this bowl is impressive. Every wet razor is happy about a gift. One more point about the design of the bowl. The rim of the bowl prevents the foam from overflowing. But as I said, this bowl produces a lot of foam. Therefore, you need to adjust the amount of soap or cream you use. The inside of the bowl also has the Vikings Blade logo and product name beautifully engraved on the base. I believe it is still readable after 50 years of use. I knew at some point I had to ditch the cheap ceramic bowls and invest in a well made, high quality stainless steel shaving bowl that will last. The chair is perfect and it is the only shaving bowl I will ever need. I'm glad I waited, but now you don't have to wait anymore! Buy your own chair shaving bowl. You will enjoy it for many years and your heirs will no doubt fight over who gets grandfather's shaving bowl.
