While I love that our 6.5 year old goes to a great school and has access to great technology, I'm not thrilled that a freshman first grader gets his very own Chromebook. Also not happy that he has to carry it home every day and we have to keep it safe for the next five years of school. Oh, did I mention we also have a toddler in the house? Yes. Recipe for disaster with a laptop. I've asked other parents to recommend the case and Gumdrop was mentioned the most. Today came on time. So far I am impressed: easy to read instructions and installation. Perfect for his Chromebook Lenovo 300e 2nd Gen. Lightweight, not too bulky. Easy to remove. Easy to clean. I will not experiment with dropping the device. I'm sure a 6 year old will inevitably do this. Then we'll find out if the case cost $35. My only wish? For $35 you can use a screen protector. You might think there should be a thin piece of plastic to protect the screen from cracking, but that's not the case. I'll check next time I think. I combined the bag with the Baiocool Soft Carry Bag, which I also bought from Revain. Hopefully these two cases will give this Chromebook the protection it needs for the next five years.
