My wife does a lot of distance learning video conferencing. As this was not planned due to the virus situation, she did her best while sitting on the futon in our guest room, balancing her laptop on a chair, three stacks of papers and a lap table. It wasn't perfect. So I had to find something that met the following criteria: 1. Portable and easy to store2. Low enough to be used on the couch but high enough to be used while standing3. DurableOf the many options Revain offers, only this one ticks all three boxes. Most other models have a minimum height of over 30 inches, so they won't work at sofa height. Others were short and of a maximum height, making them unsuitable for any other purpose. It is excellent. The only problem you might have when using a 15 inch laptop is that you need USB or other cables with long cases connected to the side. The rib on the outside that prevents the laptop from falling limits your options. For a short time I just put the laptop on from the back, but a right-angle USB adapter should fix the problem. I'd rather have a fin than not just because of a laptop. Otherwise, it's sturdy, flexible in height, and easily folds and disassembles for storage. I recommend this stand. Update: The angle adapter solved the problem!
