I'm not overly impressed with this laptop desk, mainly due to the finish around the edges of the top and the laminate that makes up the surface. I had another laptop desk with the same general split top design and loved it. The entire perimeter of the top is sharp, not rounded. The rim is a strip of PVC plastic, the product will stick to anything. When I try to type, the sharp edge rubs against my wrists. The laminated surface is a flat surface that creates an odd feel. Maybe it will smooth out over time, but the sensations are still strange. Like the surface of a ceramic. The front panels that keep the laptop from sliding are functionally not high enough to keep the laptop in place when working at an angle. My laptop keeps slipping down and, er, falling into my lap. Yes, do not buy. The price is right, but the implementation is wrong.
