I bought 3 sizes to pack different weight herbal flowers for sale. They are easy to use, easy to fill and easy to seal. But none of the sizes are airtight. I zipped it up and sniffed the herbs faintly. I sealed them with a food preservation machine and stopped the seal earlier than the usual time used for thicker food bags. so as not to overheat the package. Sealing the bags still didn't make them airtight. I ended up having to double wrap them with food grade pouches which doubled the packaging cost as I had already put my labels on the pouches before filling them and didn't want to waste 200 labels. I won't buy them again. If you want a truly waterproof bag, look elsewhere. I repeat, this has nothing to do with heat sealing. They don't let air through because they close with a zipper. Air comes in and out. If you use them for any type of meal or snack, expect them to go stale.
