I've had my collar fall off several times while walking my Belgian Malinois. There was once a very tense situation where another dog nearly died when one of the links on the collar slipped out. I know exactly how to put them on a dog (big and strong etc). I'm going to buy a larger 23" collar and throw it away as it's unreliable. I'll also tether it twice when I use it as I'm always on the verge of untying it again. Sprinklers should be the best but be VERY careful, especially if you have a guard dog who checks each link before putting it on and always connects the sprinklers to a different collar in case of a malfunction.
