Pleated skirts are in fashion, my granddaughter loves them. This one fits her perfectly and the length just above the knee is exactly what I want! She spent a lot of time twirling, so she enjoys the folds very much. We were both glad the shorts underneath weren't very tight or comfortable. If you must wear this with a belt, there are evenly spaced belt loops for that purpose. The material is also soft.
