fairly large bright stripe
this black stripe is quite large (as shown). There are also different lighting settings that you can control by touching the power button on the side. The brightest (white) light is bright but not piercing. there is also a choice of a darker (yellow) shade. I put this light under a cabinet and it works pretty well and I can easily access the power button. It's worth noting that my light bar didn't come with a user manual, so it was trial and error at first; but nothing too complicated. it was clear.
