It is dangerous, especially for small children. We bought this pad along with a Halo of the same size. Our baby is within the parameters of weight and average height. This sleeping bag's neck is oversized, causing fabric to gather around the face, especially near the nose and mouth. It's incredibly dangerous - as I held our little one in this sleeping bag and prepared to put her in the cradle to sleep, I was upset to see that the V-neckline was folded down, covering her mouth and the bridge of her nose. So dangerous that choking is a leading risk factor for SIDS! I kept my baby awake with this and returned it. Halo sleeping bags have a different design and smaller opening that doesn't have the same problem. Do not skimp - this is a dangerous product!
