Review on Tello CP PT 00000252 01 Quadcopter Drone by Andrea Logan

Really good working drone priced at

For the past few years I have wanted to buy a drone but it seemed to me too expensive for a hobby and cheap ones had very bad reviews. Several articles rated this model as the best budget drone for beginners, so I gave it a try. Overall, I was very impressed with how well this thing performs for the price. Flight Time: You can fly about 10-15 minutes depending on what you are doing. While that doesn't sound like much, it seems to take a lot longer. For longer periods of time, just grab an extra battery and replace it. Charging the battery takes about an hour and 15 minutes. You charge it with a microUSB cable connected to the drone (not included). Setup: You download an app from the App Store and connect it to your phone using a Wi-Fi connection. Setup took maybe 3 minutes. Tip: If you're using Android, after you've connected to the drone's WiFi, wait for your phone to say it's connected to WiFi but not internet, then tell it to stay connected anyway (usually it takes about a minute). . If that happens, it's ok, but it took me a while to figure it out. This is clearly an Android issue and not a drone issue as I am having the same problem setting up Smart Outlets/Revain Alexa. - Flight: Learning to fly is very easy. I've flown it inside and out and even with a light breeze it was pretty easy to fly. It reached a height of about 30 feet (a picture shows the area above a two-story house). The default setting is a slow setting better suited for indoor use. When you're outdoors, toggle on the quick setting and the thing really is a zip. It has a really long range and is capable of controlling the cross from a distance greater than a baseball field. It floats in place easily and is actually pretty stable to handle. However, it requires a good amount of ambient light to work. The drone has sensors on the underside that it uses to look at the ground and stabilize itself. It works surprisingly well, but there were some issues when used indoors with the lights dimmed. It will not fly at dusk or at night. Photo/Video: The image quality is really good for the drone's 5 megapixel camera. You might come up with some nice pictures with this one. The video stream on the phone itself usually has very little lag when flying, but the video stored on your phone can be interrupted from time to time. It's decent enough for a drone in this price range, but don't expect professional video. Also, this drone's camera is fixed (always facing forward), so don't expect it to tilt for a bird's-eye view. Durability: Reading reviews of other drones, I've never understood why people keep talking about them crashing. but as a beginner, you will crash the drone many times. I hit halls, ceilings, trees, floors and more. The drone just stops, you put it back on the ground and tell it to take off. It's amazingly durable and has had no problems getting damaged. It comes with multiple interchangeable propellers if you need them. Overall, this is a really fun toy and a great way to get started with drones. It's really well built and powerful for the price, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to start playing with drones without spending a ton of money.
