Amazing sound system and even more amazing for a soundbar. The katana is a good size and very loud, the sound is clear and the bass is very nice. The sound is amazing up to about 40 (out of 50), after which (assuming your turntable's volume is maxed out) I would stop cranking it. It's pretty loud there, and if I listen closely I can tell there's an area where damage from heavy use could theoretically occur. My audiophile dad says it gets a bit flat in the top and mid ranges but to be honest I'm not sure I'm hearing what he's talking about and it could very well be a song or sound profile as far as I can tell White. I am anxious. The lighting profiles could be improved, and it would be even cooler if I could set the panel to recognize certain running programs and change the lighting accordingly. Maybe I just haven't studied the software enough. It would also be cool to toggle auto-equalizer when playing sound from certain programs on computer.
