Review on Smart bracelet Xiaomi Mi Band 2, black by Agata Skrzypek ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best thing for the money, Im glad I chose this option.

Either I wanted to indulge in something, or I just wanted some new gadget, in general, the choice fell on a fitness bracelet. To be honest, the choice fell on this model right away, but some reviews about a buggy connection and inaccurate pedometer and heart rate monitor repelled, but there are no analogues in terms of price and equipment nearby at all . I took exactly the original: so that there was an ID number on the strap, white packaging and the Mi logo on the device itself - I found it, in Hong Kong on 09202222 it cost me 1600. Having a Xiaomi phone with installing Mi Fit and registering an account did not have to mess around. The MiFit application suits me and I like that it is constantly ated, developed, improved. Notifications, alarms and other work perfectly, no questions, once set up and forgotten, There is nothing to check the heart rate monitor, except in the old-fashioned way: fingers on the wrist for 15 seconds, then multiply the result by 4 :))) so. I checked it a dozen times both at rest and during exercises and after: the error was only in my calculation, i. E. when you time 15 seconds and start counting, it’s always difficult to accurately start and finish counting, and the result is, say, 16-17 beats, multiply by 4 and you get 64-68 beats, the difference is four, and if you didn’t start exactly and didn’t finish counting very accurately , then the difference is 8 strokes (16-18) * 4 = 64-72). Hence the discrepancies with the heart rate monitor, which, by the way, measures the pulse for only 3-4 seconds, i. E. my conclusion is that he measures the pulse quite accurately and in 90% of cases this difference was just those 4 beats . The main thing is that during the measurement the bracelet itself does not fidget on the arm and it is better to measure without moving your hand. The pedometer is generally beyond praise, I didn’t even expect such accuracy, I always go “hands in my pockets” and thought that in this case the measurement would lie decently, I was very surprised when, with several measurements and varying complexity: hill, descent, steps (hands in pockets), the error was at most 3 steps per 100. Who cares, this result completely suits me! My verdict: don't even think about it, you have to take it!

Pros
  • Price / quality ratio compared to analogues Holds a charge for a VERY long time: up to a month, if you do not indulge in synchronization and a heart rate monitor Accuracy of the pedometer The accuracy of the heart rate monitor (whoever writes - I think it's accurate, details below)
Cons
  • There are difficulties or I would even say "nuances" in setting up the Mi Fit software: if you want the full implementation of the bracelet, you will have to get confused with custom firmware and settings. This is more likely not a drawback, but an understanding: if you want to use the bracelet as a notification for applications, calls and other things: you will always have to keep the phone’s bluetooth turned on and paired with the bracelet: in this case, the bracelet’s charge lasts for a long time and, in principle, you don’t have to worry about it , more than once a week it is unlikely that I will have to charge, but I don’t have enough phone charge with the bluetooth constantly on. I have Redmi Note 4 and before, one charge was enough for me for two days, and with BT constantly on, one charge is now enough for exactly one day! those. almost 2 times less!
