As a scale it's a very good device. A button at the bottom next to the battery compartment allows you to easily toggle between stone, kilograms and pounds. The scale turns on as soon as you put your foot on it for 2 seconds and the numbers are white but easy to see. Now for the bad news: Bluetooth functionality has taken hold on my new Android smartphone, the Pixel 4a (running the latest version of Android with up-to-date security patches). does not fit this scale. I tried pairing a dozen times but nothing worked. I'm getting a security warning on my phone that the PIN/password is incorrect, even though the device doesn't require a PIN to pair. I installed a weight tracking app, everything is fine, but the setup is a bit clunky and it defaults to metric units for the initial user profile setup (height, weight, age required during setup). After you create a profile, you can switch to other units of measurement and enter the correct height/weight. I was never able to get weight readings from the scale as the bluetooth would not connect. Damn! I'm frustrated with this compatibility issue with my new smartphone, I really want to keep track of my weight as well as BMI and all other parameters the app calculates. but we're just using that as a normal scale now. I will try BT again with an old Galaxy S7 (BT 4.0 device) and see if I can connect it more with an old smartphone with an old Android version.
