The US market is flooded with disposable irons. You name it, I've tried them all. Even famous brand irons priced between $100 and $140 can't compete with this Laura Star. The Laura Star steam generator looks very high quality. It even features tank water filtration to keep the internal yoke system and pipes free from contaminants found in tap water. I really didn't want to spend that much on an iron, but it's been such a wonderful two weeks with this iron. I usually iron work clothes for a week or two in one ironing session. This product literally cut ironing time in half and I would call it the Mercedes of all consumer irons! Do yourself a favor if you want to save time ironing and even enjoy ironing again, buy this iron! I also recommend buying the following to improve ironing with this product: 1) Buy a small clothes rack to hang shirts and steam them vertically. 2) I also recommend buying a vertical steam pad that can be attached to a door to steam clothes vertically. 3) Purchase a Laura Star steam cord holder for regular ironing on a flat ironing board. This product did not come with a steam cable holder.
