Eight years ago I lost my sense of smell due to abuse. (It's called anosmia.) I had a small amount of this perfume oil that I didn't throw away, and I decided to see if I could smell it. I was pleased to find that I can! I've tried other fragrances over the years but I didn't smell any of them when I bought them and I still don't. It does not matter; Chinese lily has always been my favorite. I'm so happy I can smell it again! The bottle I had was older so I ordered more. I can't describe perfume but I can try. It smells like a combination of white flowers. It reminds me of a combination of light scents of lily of the valley combined with freesia or gardenia. Most importantly, I can also capture the scent that was in all my favorite perfumes: white musk. It may seem too strong when you first put it on, but you have to experiment with it. When you first apply it, it may seem too heavy. But once it sinks into your skin, it lightens up into a gorgeous scent that lingers all day. I didn't like it when I first tried it but there was something about it that drew me in and through experimentation I found the right amount for my skin and body heat. All people are different. I've always received compliments on this fragrance and when we can communicate again I hope they continue. Now I'm enjoying it myself!
