I've used a lot of headlamps on hikes, but this chest lamp takes it a step further. On the highest setting, the light on the front is almost blinding, so you can see exactly what you're doing no matter how dark it is. It's so bright - it can illuminate an area so well you could have major surgery or even film a TV show in front of your eyes. Since it fits a GoPro mount, I'm tempted to shoot a few scenes with it. . But I will use it when I return home after photographing a beautiful sunset through the suburban streets. It gets dark fast around here this time of year, and the incandescent trio of LEDs up front, along with a red taillight, might be enough warning for those drag racers not to run over me.
