Attention! The screws they sent to attach the bracket to the studs are complete junk and will wear out. I have worked as a carpenter and am no stranger to pre-drilling and screwing wood. First, the instructions called for me to drill a 1/8" x 1.2" hole in the stud. I checked the screw and the 1/8 bit was perfect, but the screw was 2" long so I went ahead and pre-drilled to 2" deep. I started turning my first screw with enough pressure and torque control, but the soft metal of the screw head began to peel off as I lowered about 1.25 inches. I knew it wasn't going to work, when I turned carefully, the head was completely ripped off and I had to finish the extraction with pliers. I tested the 2nd screw (check my Phillips head on my drill and the same problematic screw head is so soft it snaps off under torque. And forget about trying to force it into the 2" stud with a hand screwdriver, I now had 8 holes left in my wall The screws I used for wood projects are number 8's so couldn't hook properly into the holes I made I had to go to Home Depot to get some #8 screws -25). They went in like butter. And dressed well and secured the wall mount in place. Too bad the seller/manufacturer missed out on a 5 star rating to literally save a dime on the screws. I doubt they were always low quality screws in this product but now they do it to save 16 cents per unit sold. I hope they start adding better quality screws. your own screws.
