Review on ISDIN Age Contour Night Cream: 🌙 Rejuvenate Face and Neck with Melatonin & Peptides by Andrea Thomas

Oh the first time I tried this I felt tired. I used it in the mornings and then realized I shouldn't because it contains melatonin. I'm not sure how much melatonin, but it made me sleepy. Make sure to only use this at night! Definitely relaxing to use. It doesn't state how much melatonin is in the product, so I'm a little worried about that. I usually take melatonin 2-5 mg tablets in the evening. I'm not sure I care about the smell. The fragrance is not strict, but synthetic. One reviewer said it smelled like honey and I agree, except it also has earthy overtones rather than essential oil/natural earthiness. It's almost a scent with a hint of BO, which isn't really very attractive, so I'm not sure I like it. But for me it's not a very smelly perfume. I'm a little surprised by the packaging as it looks like a large jar due to the size of the box. This is one of my favorite makeup calluses. In fact, the jar is only about 2/3 the height of the box and is elevated with a cardboard insert to look tall even if you only open the box from the top. The jar itself is quite thick glass so you really aren't getting that much product for the size of the pack. This is less than 2 ounces of product as it needs to be at least three times the size of the box. It feels good on my skin, leaving it smooth but a bit sticky. You don't need a lot of product and it has good coverage. I use it around my eyes, all over my face, neck and chest. Overall I find it moisturizing well. Is it worth $110? I do not think so. At least it's overpriced in my opinion. I think it's unique in that it contains melatonin, but the basic ingredients are pretty basic, including "vegetable oil". I checked the main ingredients against the EWG cosmetics database and there is nothing terrible in it, except silicon (in the form of dimethicone). I don't think there's a lot of silicon in there as it's the 8th item on the ingredients list. Having said that, I really don't like putting silicone on my face because I find it clogs pores. I really can't justify recommending this product. That's not bad, but I think a fair market price would be around $30-$40. It is manufactured in Spain and imported by the American company ISDIN Corporation.
