Review on WearTek X18PRO: IPX8 Waterproof Bone Conduction Headphones for Swimming with 8GB Memory, Magnetic Fast Charging, Bluetooth 5.0 - Open-Ear Sports Headphones (Black) by Michael Sharp

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A jewel drowned in a sea of big lies.

After years of testing and spending a small fortune on millions of so-called "waterproof" swim buds, I've finally found a decent product that meets most of my needs. Yes, the sound quality isn't as good underwater or while swimming as it is above water, but this device is IPX8 rated, while *NONE*, null, null earbuds ever could - and their manufacturers and vendors lie to us ALL with impunity. Yes, the sound quality suffers a bit underwater, but it's still decent, unlike the old tech where all you hear is loud pops that blow your brains out 5 seconds or less after diving. Also, sound quality can be improved by wearing soft earplugs, which I would recommend anyway for many other reasons. The only technological aspect that definitely needs improvement is loading. In truth, the magnetic connector is a big step up and the charger itself works as advertised, but I don't like that the connector is "non-standard", meaning you forget it at home while you're at it gone, or, God forbid, you lost it, then most likely you are out of luck. I think magnetic induction charging might be a desirable solution, but apparently this technology doesn't exist at this level of miniaturization. In summary, this product, while not perfect, offers excellent value for money, especially considering its price (compared to its competitors). Additionally, the imperfections mentioned above (none of which are critical) are mainly caused by general technological limitations and will likely be fixed in the near future (these are not production issues).
