Review on Auxbeam 9012 HIR2 15000lm Led Bulb Conversion Kits: Upgraded Mini Size, 6000K Xenon White, All-in-One Fog Light Halogen Replacement Kit by Gerardo Goodson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Compact size, easy installation, whiter and brighter light

UPDATE: These headlights were installed in October 2019 and one of the bulbs stopped working in July 2020. So they replaced it with another one and filed a warranty claim for a replacement with the manufacturer. Auxbeam replied within a day and very sensibly asked for photo proof that the fixture was not working. Interestingly, when I reinstalled the headlight to take a picture, the headlight worked again. I have no idea why it even came out. The headlight went out on Sunday evening and on Monday morning it was still not working. But since it's working again now and the manufacturer reacted so quickly, I'm keeping the 4-star rating. These headlights have a 2 year guarantee. So let's hope this was an isolated case. ------------ I have a 2015 Fiat 500e that had a burned out halogen headlight (9012 HIR2). I wanted to try LED bulbs because of the higher energy efficiency and improved brightness. I chose this bulb because of the low nominal power of 30W-35W. The regular halogen bulbs I replace use 55 watts per bulb. At $55 for two bulbs, I figured it would be a good idea to swap out both headlights. I ordered these lamps on Sunday and received them the next day. They arrived in secure packaging as shown in the first two photos. The bulb itself is almost the same size as the 9012 HIR2 halogen bulb (halogen bulb on the left, LED on the right). The installation took only a few minutes for each side. I'm very glad I bought these bulbs instead of others that are much larger because they may not fit in the headlight assembly. These bulbs emit a true white light that appears slightly brighter than the halogen bulbs they replace. In the fourth photo, the LED lamp is installed on the left, and the conventional halogen lamp is on the left. It can be a bit difficult to compare because the light shines on a dirty shelf. The main thing is that LED lamps are much whiter and slightly brighter. After installing both LED headlights, I drove at night and visibility is very good. I will update this review in a month to know more about the lamp's durability. For now it seems like a good product.
