Firstly, if your car can use this kind of magnetic CD slot mount, please buy it. They are amazing. However, I recommend a different brand as it is not "heavier" than the usual other brands. I ordered this model - Mountek nGroove Snap + - for my wife's car. I have had a competing InifiniApps Slyde CD mount product for over a year and am completely satisfied with it and would recommend it to anyone. It's a bit small, however, but snug depending on how their dashboard is designed. I opted for the Mountek version with a supposedly stronger magnet and slightly different spacing between the thumbscrews. This version fits "slightly" better than my infiniapps model, but the magnet is weaker! It has to be stronger. A large metal back for a "small tablet" doesn't help much. I noticed that under the magnetic cover (which removes too easily) only 3 of the 6 magnetic slots are filled. I checked the manufacturer's website and they mention that this is correct and they do not recommend or sell 3 extra magnets. I would probably buy them but they really should be provided if you have magnet strength issues for large phones. The fact that it overstates its capabilities, the overall build quality compared to the competition, and the fact that it costs almost 50% more than a superior product makes me rate it lower.
