I bought a large one and it fits perfectly. I'm 5ft 3in, 167# tall, I'm 65 years old with a small belly. I usually wear a size 14 so the fit is loose. The blouson top hides the tummy perfectly and the hem is high enough to hide the tummy. Belly if the top should rise - which I doubt. I've been drunk for a long time so tops tend to fall on me, but this one is up to my belly button. They have a 5 1/2" side seam. I usually wear boys shorts but I would feel comfortable wearing these shorts. It has an underwired bra with removable strong (but not hard) cups. The color is true to the picture - I have blue 02. I like the pattern. I love to land. My husband and I dive and it will be great under my wetsuit.
