This is a replacement for my husband who lost his. My original seems to be better made, but this one also looks like it will stand the test of time. I keep my sunglasses and reading glasses in it and it stays in my purse. If I accidentally lose it, it's an uncomfortable but not expensive replacement like prescription glasses. I'm happy with this item (so far) but I think they will go up in price. I've never used it for any other purpose than suggested in the description, so I can't vouch for how it will work that way. I'm just happy with it the way it is but it has NO padding to protect the goggles if that matters.
