Review on Hosim Monster Terrain Control Scale by Robert Johnson

First off, this truck is fast and fun. I just drove (for the first time) to a dirt desert road that runs right next to our house. I had a blast using it - within the first 15-20 minutes. However, I've noticed that the reverse doesn't work. After several reverse attempts, he sometimes backed up, sometimes not. While it's annoying, the real danger was when I started pushing the gas (forward) and it got disabled in the reverse direction (like 30mph - fast). When I released the gas pedal it didn't stop. I had to pull the trigger a few times to get it to stop and then keep going. Again, this was not a one-off accident. I started testing, changed mode (fast and slow speed, reverse switch) - fixed nothing; and it was sporadic, making it terribly unreliable. I went forward for a few minutes with no problem, then it started going backwards - sometimes on its own. I can react fast enough to try to return the car, but it's very dangerous for a small child or teenager. In addition, reverse gear shifts twice as fast as forward gear (even in overdrive). Forward drive now only works in slow mode (regardless of the set speed) and reverse "appears" to be even faster than 50 km/h, but can't verify it). I LOVE having one that works fully without breaking or removing gears (as others have checked, etc.). I cannot recommend this in any way until the electronics are fixed and actually working. By the way, I got this (and 3 others) as a Christmas present to go to the desert with my kids, so I'll compare this experience to 3 others that are from different manufacturers to see the durability, speed and everything works properly . However, this one comes back.
