I'll get down to business and list all the secrets you need to know in order to use this camera effectively as a vlogger: 1. Just to be clear, the Mark II has an all-pure HDMI with autofocus enabled. I used it yesterday.2. You can get a special battery from Canon or a number of third parties that will allow you to plug your camera into a standard outlet so you don't have to worry about running out of batteries. Most consumer cameras other than camcorders have a 30 minute auto power off feature. They do this so they don't have to pay EU import taxes on camcorders (yes, I know). If you pay another $1,000 or even switch to a different brand, you can't avoid this particular crippled hammer. However, Canon engineers took pity on us and patched the Canon EOS Utility (free download from canon.com). Just connect your camera to any Windows or Mac computer (via USB) and run the utility. Please note that this application is completely different from Canon EOS Webcam Utility.4. Canon Webcam Utility is a joke. Just buy a $20 USB to HDMI dongle and use OBS or whatever to record video. You don't need the pricey Elgato unless you're serious about recording in 4K. Cheap models easily stream 1080P. I hope that was helpful. Happy vlogging!
