These "dry food storage bins" are ideal for storing wild bird food and dispensing food from feeders without making a lot of a mess on your patio. Keep in mind that these containers are NOT tightly sealed and will not prevent all moisture from entering the containers. But I fill them (currently three different containers) about 1/2 full with sunflower seeds or dried mealworms or safflower seeds and spread the feed over the feeders fairly quickly over the course of a few weeks to allow moisture to seep into the containers during storage issue. The spout on the container fits perfectly over the feed tubes and the spillage rate is so negligible that any waste simply doesn't matter.
