The leather exterior and fancy presentation (the case comes in a cloth bag, packed in a nice box) suggests it’s intended to be a gift item., or perhaps to be used for storing expensive pens, but I’m not sure it’s suitable for either of these purposes. If I had a collection of nice Mont Blancs and old Parkers, I don’t think I’d keep them in a lose case where they could roll around and scratch each other. I’d use a hard case, with individual compartments, or a soft case with sleeves. It’s too large to be used for carrying pens in a jacket or coat pocket. You wouldn’t use it for carrying artistic materials like pencils and markers as they’d dirty up the case. So what can it be used for? Maybe as an elegant compact tool kit. Put a Leatherman and a pen type multimeter in it. Or maybe a set of wood carving knives, wrapped in soft leather. An expensive pair of sunglasses? I’m still working on it.
