You can't print on it!

The description says 'printable' but when I ran it through my printer after 24 hours the ink finally dried and almost disappeared like water dripping on plastic. I tried a few different settings on my printer to get the best result as I wanted my design idea to work but literally the ink never dried on the gold paper. After 2 days in a very dry environment, the ink is still smearing. I've tried the Glossy Photo Paper setting through to the Draft setting, which means most ink to least ink if you're unfamiliar with those settings. I have been printing my own postcards, brochures etc for 20 years so have a lot of experience with printers and paper. In summary the paper itself is strong cardstock, shiny gold is what you want, with a high gloss finish these qualities are amazing but you can't print on it with a computer printer. Maybe Sharpee markers would work, but I don't know, I didn't want to do that with it. I'm sure gold paper will work for other crafts but not for printing.

Pros
  • Paper and Paper Crafts
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
