Reliable system, weak connection points

We bought the Pro Extreme so we could run cables through the ground without digging trenches. Time will tell how it holds up. We guided him through a wooden platform and the process was easy. The roll got easier as we descended from 2000 yards. I like the lack of stitching on the trail, hope this helps with line integrity. I used hooks in the wood at the launch point to ensure the launch joint didn't hit the water/snow. The included silicone splice kits are a really nice and great bonus. I also used tape but had to remove it as it became too thick to fit in the splicing kit. The only downside I have is that the attachment points on the bottom kit and main control board are flimsy. Great strength and protection on the wire and all that is included but then weak attachment points. After connecting it, we were visibly nervous about whether it would work. For several hours, they laid it out in the middle of winter, clearing an intersection. However, it worked like a charm. Our dog has used a shock collar in the past when we tried (unsuccessfully) to stop her running away so she knew straight away what the signal meant. Haven't picked up a dog next door in three days and we're very happy with the system. We'll see how it holds up above ground over time and we're nervous, but so far so good
