Review on Cowhide Leather Multiple Backpack Warranty Backpacks by Cristina Villanueva

Good packaging but not quite perfect

I've only had it for about a week but have been using it almost every day since it arrived. I originally ordered another brand that I really liked for the style, but it turned out to be too small for what I needed to carry, so I bought this as a second option. What I like: nice style. It's a little darker than I thought, but still looks good. It's leather, so of course it has such a wonderful look and feel. The leather is of good quality and the stitching looks good. I like the top handle. Once it gets hacked I think it will be pretty handy. It fits easily into my Lenovo P50 and still has quite a bit of interior space. The zippers work smoothly and look high quality. Straps and extra rivets, I'm still worried about their durability. I carry quite a bit of weight (if you have a P50 you know what I mean) and spend most of my time with a backpack on just one shoulder. As a result, a webbing is fully loaded in the form of side tension. While the straps appear to be fairly firmly attached, they also appear to be made from the same gauge of leather as the backpack itself. There is padding that adds some strength but I still think I would have liked to see thicker leather and maybe more reinforcement in a place that gets so much use. So far so good, but let's see how it looks in a year. Pockets: 5 pockets on the back. That's both good and bad. On the one hand, this results in many organizational options, on the other hand, each bag is quite small. The reason the photo shows all these things sticking out is that most of them don't really fit in the pockets they are shown in with the flap closed. I would have preferred to see at least 2 large pockets instead of 4 lower pockets. One of these was large enough to hold a large P50 power supply. Or just replace the two lower pockets with one large one. However, since none of the pockets are remotely large enough for a power adapter, I have to stash it indoors, where it takes up a lot of valuable space and gets in the way. bags. Now they work fine, but it's actually velcro that keeps the flap closed, and the strap is more formal than functional. As long as the velcro doesn't wear out, they'll likely continue to work just fine. I wish they had something more "traditional" than velcro. The pencil pocket could also be a bit bigger (deeper). This would be a great place to store reading glasses and/or sunglasses, except it can only hold one pair comfortably and can even be a little tight depending on the style. I have both reading glasses and sunglasses and I can barely squeeze in two small reading glasses or sunglasses, but I can't put on sunglasses and even a pair of reading glasses at the same time without crushing them. The water bottle pockets seem to be adequate for a regular sized water bottle. I rarely carry a water bottle with me, but I sometimes throw in a few fizzy drinks to top off my table. They definitely fit easily. You could probably put an umbrella in there, but I don't like my umbrella out all the time, so I prefer to leave it inside. Back: The back is good and bad at the same time. Breathable material is probably fine if you're going to be wearing it all day, but I only use it for commuting and think a full leather back would probably be more durable. Also, I find that the fabric backing distracts a bit from the "rustic" look. As far as I can tell there is no leather at all on the back, other than a reinforcement strap for the straps (it doesn't seem thick enough to have a layer of leather pressed into it), and a firmer leather backing would have provided for a much stronger strap attachment . Interior: The interior is pretty good. There is a large divider with a Velcro strap that holds the laptop well although the strap has limited use and tends to get in the way as well as providing security (like all straps in laptop bags). It would be nice to have another large divider to keep documents and folders separate from the laptop. I end up putting them together and sometimes it can be a bit difficult to get things in. There is a zipped pocket that is much larger than any of the outer pockets, making it versatile for all those things I couldn't fit on the outside. The downside is that it's not leather but a lighter lining fabric so I don't know how well it will hold up over time with everything stuffed inside. One or two more pen holders are welcome. There are only two. I would also probably prefer to have them with a "bottom" so the handles stay inside without attaching them to the bag. They are made of the same leather as the backpack, but this leather is actually too thick for the occasion. I broke a clip on one of my handles trying to stretch it enough to accommodate the thickness of the skin. Since these are just bottomless hinges, if you don't attach the handle to the skin, the handle will simply fall through the hole and be lost at the bottom. So I either break the holds or lose them. It may sound like I'm picky, and I am. But don't get me wrong - this is a really good package. I have high hopes for it and can't wait to see how it looks and feels a year or two after it's broken in. on a package that costs nearly one hundred and sixty dollars. Maybe the next redesign will take some of my suggestions into account... In the meantime, I'll keep using it and hope I don't have to use the one-year warranty. Update 12/31/19: Three months later it's still going well. The straps are holding up well and there are no signs of tearing yet. The handle is good soft. The zippers still work perfectly. There are no signs of torn seams or fabrics yet. Still happy!
