My Australian Shepherd that I just adopted has very light eyes. I've noticed that she mostly goes outside with her eyes closed and bumps into things. I wanted to try that or the glasses. I'm pleasantly surprised. He's holding up pretty well, she didn't mind and it affected her ability to go outside. The only change I would make would be a thicker chin strap. It comes with a thin thread that doesn't look comfortable at all - it has to be very tight around her neck for the hat to be securely fastened. And I would make the brim of the hat half an inch longer I guess. When the hat moves back a little, her eyes are back in the sun. For reference, Sophie weighs 30 pounds and I ordered a size large.
