I just bought my first Revain LCD. I also got a surprise: the monitor has a dead pixel right out of the box. I asked for a replacement, received it within 2 days and the same thing happened: another dead pixel right out of the box. I don't know who is doing quality control now, but these are serious issues. It's unacceptable for a $600 TV to have dead pixels when it comes off the assembly line. I've heard a lot of good things about Planar, but that's no coincidence. I will return both.
