Engineering gets a C minus

This article isn't bad overall. Not as beefy as I had hoped. But my main complaint is that it can only be mounted bottom with vertical post adjustment. You cannot place the horizontal bars at any height by adjusting the top and bottom of the posts. This was a big problem in our van because we wanted the horizontals to be low so the dogs wouldn't fall below the center between the two front seats. I ended up turning the whole thing upside down so my empty space was at the top instead of the bottom. But of course that means the cups that were supposed to protect your ceiling are now on the floor and the legs are on the ceiling. I roughly solved this problem by putting some 4 inch pieces of wood under the legs that are now in contact with the ceiling.
