Pros: No frills, easy to use dimmer/timer to replicate the daylight cycle with dimmable LEDs. I was looking for something similar but was having a hard time finding anything at a reasonable price and this was the solution. The timer is easy to set up. Here's how it works: in one mode you set the current time and in another mode you are given 8 options where you can enter the time and the brightness from 0 to 100. So you can set Option 1: 8:00 / Brightness 0 and Option 2 : 8:30 / Brightness 100, which means your light will turn on gradually over half an hour from 8:00 to 8:30. With 8 options this means you can set up 2 dimming on/off cycles per day. The instructions provided were easy enough to follow. Cons: The connector did not match the connector part of my LED lights. The male ending worked well, by the way, and seemed to fit. I'm not sure if it was a manufacturing defect in my lights or the timer, but my solution was to simply use excessive force to insert the plug and it worked for me. Overall: Great purchase, very glad to have found this and highly recommend it. Exactly the device I was looking for so as not to shock or stress the fish when turning the light on and off.
