These snow pants are well made and definitely worth getting, whether your child loves to play in the snow or enjoy winter sports. They are soft and warm from top to bottom. The waistband is elastic at the back and has 2 velcro straps on the sides for a tighter adjustment. 2 side pockets have zippers. There is a plastic loop on the belt - handy for a ski pass. The outer material is waterproof. On the knees and back is thicker and more durable material that's great for falling or kneeling in the snow. There is an elastic cuff under the legs that protects against snow and cold. The size is a little big. Very roomy in the hips which is actually good for bending and moving. And the legs are a little long, but if necessary, the bottom can be folded up, and this gives room for growth. I love that the waist is adjustable - it's comfortable for a growing child and also for accommodating layers underneath. All in all, really high-quality winter pants.
