Runs small compared to the previous model, but still a great shoe.
Love Mad Rivers. I've owned the previous Mad River model twice, I've raced (and prepared to race) each 50,000 times. The only thing to watch out for with this new model is that they run a little less than the previous model. I ended up ordering half a size larger. I have 6.5-7 in classic shoes, 7.5 in sneakers. And 7.5 felt good in them, but not great; only slightly stiffer for longer runs. Size 8 feels better. So be sure to keep that in mind. Otherwise great trail running shoes! He ran through mud, rubble, ankle-deep water, and even snow, and was content with it.
