I bought this pendant as a birthday present for an 8 year old girl and she loves it. The problem, however, is that the chain was fragile and broke the first day she wore it. Luckily she was able to assemble the two parts of the necklace and the pendant and I attached it. I'd rather spend some money on a better chain than risk the girl losing it. I also bought another chain for her sister (a gymnastics pendant) which hopefully won't suffer a similar fate, but I'm afraid it could break just as easily. When you buy a pendant, check the chain where the small chain connects to the big links, because that's where it broke. The rest of the pendant is a lot bigger than I expected but she likes it so I don't mind. Only 4 stars because of the chain.
