I like the modularity of warm mittens but the utility of open fingers. They are great for walking the dogs on cold days. Despite the thin/light material, fingers stay warm (which is rare). But with my fingers open, I can easily complete tasks like pulling fish treats out of my pocket or attaching/detaching lines with ease. The only downside I've seen is that the clasp for connecting the two storage gloves is flimsy - they don't stay together well in our glove box. But that's a very small problem. Would give 4.5 if I could.
