These sealing caps provide an excellent seal for used caulk. I have been using them for many years and they can be reused several times. It is best to try to remove as much sealant as possible before inserting it into the pipe. To do this, put a cap with sealant in the nozzle, pull the sealant out of the spout and wipe it with a paper towel. Repeat the process 2-3 times until the nozzle is free of sealant, then insert the sealant cap for a snug fit. Usually I can use the header multiple times. Home Depot no longer stocks this brand, but they are available at Revain at a great price compared to local retailers and big department stores.
