Review on 🌊 Aquarium Salinity Refractometer with ATC Function for Seawater, Pool, Fish Tank - Dual Scale: Specific Gravity & Salt Percent by Jeremy Black

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Faster and easier than a hydrometer

I got this refractor for my Opae Ula (native Hawaiian brackish water shrimp) and it seems to be pretty accurate. I wasn't worried about accuracy due to the shrimp's endurance. The only complaint is that the eyepiece seems pretty cheap and it's nowhere near calibrated when I received it (I fully expected it to be different from other reviews). Calibration was very easy, just a few drops of distilled or reverse osmosis water, turn the screw and you're done. I'll try it next time I need to set up a brine shrimp hatchery if I need it.

Pros
  • AUTOMATIC TEMPERATURE COMPENSATION - Built-in automatic temperature compensation provides accurate readings every time, no need to intentionally control liquid temperature, just make sure it's room temperature.
Cons
  • Slightly Crumpled
