There is a difference between USB-C and Thunderbolt 3/4 cables. The reason this is confusing is because the connectors are exactly the same. If you need Thunderbolt, this is a good choice. If you're not sure, you need to see what you're looking for. Thunderbolt will largely do everything a USB-C cable can do, but not the other way around. Some USB-C cables are for power only, some can transfer data, some use less power than others. This gives you high-speed data with 40 gigabytes per second and 100 watts of power. The actual full list of differences is too complicated for this review, but that's it, including 8k video. An excellent quality product at a great price!
