Review on πŸ”¨ Stanley 69-122 Wood Handle Scratch Awl: A Reliable Tool for Precise Markings and Crafts by Heather Armstrong

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Terribly designed awl, not sharp enough for regular stitches

This awl has a blunt secondary bevel at the tip (you can see the extra pointed tip at the front) making it impossible to make slightly tapered holes with this awl . That's why I don't like this awl. That's a bad needle. The secondary bevel gives you a usable 1/8 inch tip before you plow this English bulldog straight and dump your project in the event of an accident. Skip this awl, there are better ones out there for a fair price.
