I live in Southern California. Dry climates can cause strong static electricity on clothing. I'm also tired of my clothes sticking together in the dryer and one thing staying wet while everything else is dry and static. These dryballs have almost completely solved this problem. They probably also make great housewarming gifts for just about anyone. Even guys. Benefits: Drastic reduction in drying time (probably 5-10 minutes with a normal load) Almost completely eliminates static electricity from over-drying Can help clothes wrinkle less by absorbing moisture faster and fluffing things up. - THEY ARE PENGUINS! Cons: - They get stuck in clothes or roll up when you unload the laundry. They want to be free. They make the dryer a little noisy, but that's not important. Maybe 25% of the noise comes from a pair of shoes.
