I have a Golden Retriever who has been battling allergies for 4 years since he was a puppy. I have tried everything except feed them raw because I have no money. I've researched and researched, switched feeds to food and after 3-4 weeks it flares up again every time. I went to a holistic vet who recommended this to me. I started cooking for my pup and it was very time consuming. My pup is 80 pounds so she eats a lot and I am also a graduate student who spends most of my time working and studying. I was able to suppress her allergies, she still has stuff on her paws but her skin on her thighs and stomach has cleared up and her hair has grown back. I still cook all of the meat for her, but my main concern with choosing whole or raw foods was to make sure she was still getting everything she needed because I stopped feeding her chunks. THAT has EVERYTHING! So I just have to cook the meat and share it every day. I add this and it's complete. My dog loves it but eats everything. She's not picky at all. I'm generally SUPER happy that I was able to alleviate her allergies. Especially since I live in Florida. The price is a bit high and the recommended portion sizes don't quite match the lifespan of the bag, but it works for my pup and I'm happy.
