Review on Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 USB Headset (JUG-00013) by Aavon Dark

Obviously lots of happy people here because I just ordered my 3rd computer after it failed after 3 months. Rest assured I wouldn't buy a second one unless my job required it. The company requires me to buy this specific headset. They work well for a while, but then they fail at a critical moment a few months later, costing me money. UPDATE: OK now. It's been a year and a half since I wrote the above review so let me update it: I've just ordered my sixth set. If it wasn't mandatory for the company I work for, I wouldn't buy a second set. I can't stress enough what a piece of junk and poorly made gear this is. I can't give less than one star, otherwise I would. If you don't need to buy this to work for a specific company, I'm warning you now, don't! You will either return it for your money or (hopefully) buy another brand. I don't know if Microsoft actually makes this item or if they just put their name on it, but either way they are responsible. for placing the product on the market and should be held liable for such a defective product. They don't offer an extended warranty, and for a seemingly good reason. They would give them away, because on average they last about 3 months each. (Average) So buyers: BEWARE
