I was attracted by the size, features and great price. I think I see pre-assembled scratching posts this size for double the price. I like the color too and my cat seems to like it. It was fairly easy to put together - the instructions were very clear and there was even a spare screw. The only part where I had an issue was attaching the top pads. I tried the flat post but of course gravity fought me with the screws. I had to tip the flat on its side and then put something under the edge of the top pillow to line up the posts properly and then I was able to secure the posts. I would give this five stars except that the sides of the drawers are only fabric - I was expecting it to be fabric over plank. I'm just a little worried about what's going to happen to my cat if she scratches her, but maybe she has too much strength for him to hesitate to scratch her. The fabric and sisal on the scratching board are not properly attached to the board. So if my cat tries to scratch it the fabric will be lifted by his paws leading me to believe he will not use the board as intended. pillow inside. I guess it's not a big deal considering my cat will decide lying on the hardwood floor in the center of the kitchen is comfortable enough, but I think he would use the cabinets more if he had one kind of upholstery. I can try to add something of my own.
