Cute but don't buy again. Rectangular shape, the material is soft but definitely not machine washable, similar to wool plush. Not knitted or woven. The blue has a blurred image printed onto the blue horse blocks. I like it enough to keep it but wouldn't buy it again or as a gift. Errors in the print plaid too
