I've been using belt clip cases for my iPhones for years. I have used protectors from the River Bisam Rat Company and thought they were great. However, I wanted my new iPhone 12 mini to show off its beautiful colour, so I went for a branded transparent case with a large seabird on it. Not only is this one better because it's transparent, it also has an improved body design with some cutouts that make it easier to remove the phone, and the click mechanism that turns the clip into a stand is easier to use and more secure. Can't comment on durability or drop protection, but I definitely recommend this case.
